in addition to the death cab show, i shall be attending the second day of bamboozle this year to see three of my favorite bands: foo fighters, jimmy eat world and motion city soundtrack. i’m also looking forward to seeing blink 182 of course! i’m happy the festival has moved back down to asbury this year. i probably wouldn’t have gone otherwise.
despite failing to get tickets through not one, but TWO different presales and having to sit on a malfunctioning ticketmaster site for an hour, thanks to the addition of a second date i was actually able to get pretty good tickets to see my boys of death cab for cutie perform with the magik*magik orchestra at the beacon theater april 28th.
ticketmaster can suck it.
if i am remembering correctly, including two ben gibbard solo shows, this will be the 10th time i have seen death cab for cutie. and being that they are performing with an orchestra, it is sure to be something very special. they’ve come along way since the first time i saw them at the trocedero in philadelphia co-headlining with ben kweller in 2004.
